Job Description

Classification Title: Veterinary Technician I/II (CARE)

Classification Minimum Requirements
  • Veterinary Technician I: High school diploma or equivalent and one year relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
  • Veterinary Technician II: Credentialed veterinary technician.

Job Description: We are recruiting for a skilled Veterinary Technician for our Zoological Medicine service to join the patient care team for a variety of exotic and wildlife species. This position is responsible for the nursing care of our patients, assisting with exams, performing routine and complex anesthesia, procedures such as surgery and dentistry, diagnostic workups, and treatments alongside a team of experienced technicians, assistants, and doctors. The ideal candidate has ample veterinary experience in exotic/wildlife veterinary medicine, excellent communication skills, and an interest in teaching.

This is a full time position working Mon-Fri

Expected Salary

Non-credentialed: $18-22, Credentialed: $20-25

Preferred

Experience in the veterinary care of wildlife and exotic patients
