The City of Little Rock HR is seeking a supervisor for maintenance activities at the Little Rock Zoo. The ideal candidate will oversee the work of multiple maintenance workers and ensure all projects meet specified guidelines. Candidates must possess relevant vocational training and supervisory experience.
To supervise and assign the work activities of assigned personnel involved in the preventative and routine maintenance of equipment, building and structures within the City of Little Rock Zoo; oversees and ensures new construction projects are completed in compliance with specifications.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Engineering Specialist, Laborer, Zoo Facilities Landscape and Irrigation Supervisor, Zoo Maintenance Worker I & II and Zoo Maintenance Worker Senior
These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through the completion of two (2) years of vocational technical coursework in carpentry, building trades, or project management or related area; two (2) years of experience in building maintenance, construction, grounds maintenance, or a related area, and one (1) year of supervisory experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be available to respond to emergency calls outside of normal working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
