The Town of Leesburg seeks a skilled zoning official to support the Department of Community Development. You will handle case management, field inspections, violation enforcement, and public communication, ensuring zoning compliance and thoughtful development reviews.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and Virginia certification if applicable, with bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in planning, law enforcement, public administration or related field.
• One year of related enforcement experience.
• Virginia Certified Zoning Official or Certified Zoning Administrator.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical functions to the Department of Community Development with emphasis on customer service.
• Handle case management, field inspections, violation enforcement, public communication, zoning analysis, and permitting review.
• Analyze legislative entitlements, zoning permits, and site plan approvals to conduct inspections and review processes.
