Job summary

The City of Kingman is seeking a Code Enforcement Officer II to join our Development Services team. You will conduct advanced field inspections, identify violations, and handle complex cases with independence and professionalism.

You will prepare detailed investigative files, coordinate with the City Attorney, testify in hearings, and mentor junior staff while helping refine enforcement procedures. Strong knowledge of zoning, building standards, and nuisance code is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience enforcing municipal codes and ordinances related to zoning and building standards.
• Ability to compile investigative files, reports, and evidence for legal actions.
• Strong reading of laws and regulations with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Field investigations of complex code violations and independent case work.
• Prepare reports, chronologies, and evidence for court or administrative actions.
• Coordinate with City Attorney and other departments on charges and procedures.
• Lead and guide staff on complex projects and refine procedures.
