Steel Tool & Engineering is seeking a Zone Inspector in Trenton, MI to support quality on the production floor and ensure parts meet specifications. This role emphasizes inspection, blueprint interpretation, and GD&T knowledge.

Ideal candidates will have experience with calipers and micrometers, plus strong attention to detail and teamwork. This is a full-time, day shift position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing, inspection, or quality experience preferred.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections throughout the production floor.
• Verify products meet customer and engineering requirements.
• Identify and contain quality issues before parts move to the next operation.
• Conduct process and product audits.
• Assist with calibration and gage management activities.
• Train and support employees on proper gage usage.
• Work with Team Leads and Quality Engineers to resolve quality concerns.
• Support continuous improvement efforts that enhance product quality.

What You'll Do

• Perform inspections throughout the production floor
