Job summary

Horizon Distributors, Inc., a POOLCORP subsidiary, seeks a Sales Center Manager to lead multiple centers in the Dallas–Fort Worth region, driving regional sales and profitability. You will oversee staff, develop forecasts and business plans, and align operations with corporate goals.

Responsibilities include market analysis, strategy development, staff growth, and strong customer relationships. Travel up to 40% is expected as part of regional leadership and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or ten years of distribution experience.
  • Experience in landscape/irrigation or related industry.
  • Ability to calculate figures and read business documents.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple Sales Center Managers within a zone and adjusts goals and procedures.
  • Assesses local market conditions and develops forecasts, objectives and plans.
  • Researches and implements strategic plans and recommends policy changes.
  • Grows business through new product development and market development.
  • Oversees P&L for branches and conducts monthly reviews with managers.
  • Interacts with customers to build relationships and ensure requirements are met.
  • Hires, develops and evaluates employees to meet objectives.
  • Ensures compliance with EEOC laws and company policies.
  • Safeguards company assets including inventory, cash and vehicles.
  • Implements company policies for safe, efficient branch operations.
  • Participates in community and industry organizations to build presence.
  • Travel up to 40% and perform related duties as assigned.

Location

Supports multiple Horizon sales centers in the Dallas‑Fort Worth area.

Pay

Competitive salary plus annual bonus opportunities. The position includes a company vehicle, gas allowance, and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Manages multiple Sales Center Managers within a zone and adjusts sales goals and procedures as appropriate for each sales center based on goals set for the region.
  • Assesses local market conditions, identifies current and prospective sales opportunities and develops forecasts, financial objectives and business plans for the branches.
  • Researches, analyzes and implements strategic and marketing plans and recommends desirable changes in the policies and goals of the branches and the organization.
  • Grows the business through new product development, complementary product development, and new customer and market development.
  • Assumes responsibility for branches’ P&L to meet branch, region and corporate profitability goals and objectives. Conducts monthly reviews of branch P&L with branch managers and regional managers.
  • Interacts with customers to develop customer relationships and to ensure that all requirements are being met.
  • Hires, develops and evaluates employees to achieve corporate and personal objectives.

  • Responsible for safeguarding all company assets including inventory, cash, equipment, vehicles and facilities.
  • Implements and monitors all company policies and procedures for safe, efficient branch operations.
  • Participates actively in community, business and industry organizations to build a network of contacts that improve the presence and reputation of the branches and company in the assigned geographic region.
  • Follows high ethical standards and complies with all government regulations.
  • Maintains proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required.
  • Business travel up to 40% of time.
  • Performs any directly related appropriate duties assigned by the regional manager.
  • Other non-essential job duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or ten years of distribution experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the landscape and irrigation or a related industry.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
