Job summary

Hydro Extrusions in North America is seeking a Zone Leader to coordinate with work cells and departments to meet production requirements and customer needs. The role reports to the Fabrication Manager and emphasizes cost efficiency, quality, and personnel outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year machine operator experience in a production cell and 2+ years in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with basic math skills and English communication ability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to follow jobs through to completion and maintain accuracy.
• Must be able to communicate in English; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordinating scheduling and daily workflow within the department.
• Assist with performance evaluations and timely feedback.
• Participate in accident/incident reviews and corrective actions.
• Facilitate problem solving, continuous improvement and team training.
• Support a safe working environment on the production floor.
• Be willing to learn all positions within the team and production cell.

Job Summary:

The Zone Leader coordinates with other work cells and departments to meet production requirements of the company and needs of the customers, with accountability for results in terms of costs, methods, quality, quality of production, operations, and personnel. This position will report to the Fabrication Manager.

What you will be doing

• Assists with scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff within the department.
• Assists with conducting constructive and timely performance evaluations.
• May be asked to participate in accident/incident reviews and develop corrective actions.
• Serves as a facilitator to the work team in areas of problem solving, issue resolution, continuous improvement, and training.
• Ensures a safe working environment is maintained on the production floor.
• Must be willing to learn all positions within the team and production cell.

What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year of machine operator experience within a production cell or similar manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
