Job description

We are seeking an experienced Zonal Sales Manager North East for our brand Heeva, known for its premium food offerings. This role demands someone who can handle the geographical and cultural nuances of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram, and Sikkim while building and strengthening the regional sales structure.


Location:

Base location: Guwahati / Shillong / Siliguri
(Open to travel across Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram, and Sikkim)


Role & responsibilities

  • Drive primary and secondary sales targets for North East India zone
  • Manage and mentor a team of Area Sales Managers and Sales Officers
  • Appoint and manage distributors and super stockists
  • Plan and execute Go-to-Market strategies in both GT and MT segments
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts, retail chains, and channel partners
  • Monitor sales performance, schemes, budgets, and competitor activities
  • Coordinate with NSM and cross-functional teams for demand planning, trade marketing, and logistics
  • Ensure strong market feedback, reporting, and adherence to company SOPs
  • Represent the brand at regional expos or B2B activations, if required

Preferred candidate profile

  • Graduate / MBA preferred
  • 1015 years of relevant experience in North East Indian FMCG markets
  • Fluency in Assamese and/or other North Eastern languages such as Manipuri, Bengali, or Nagamese is highly preferred
  • Experience in both rural and urban retail formats
  • Strong distributor/channel handling and team leadership experience
  • Willingness to travel across all 8 states regularly
