Zingerman's Bakehouse in Ann Arbor is hiring a Holiday CakeCrew to produce and package hand crafted cakes and cookies. This seasonal role offers 40 hours per week from November through December, with shifts Tue–Sat 8 am–4 pm. You’ll icing, decorate with fondant, fill cupcakes, and label products alongside our team.

Zingerman's Bakehouse is hiring our Holiday Cake Crew to work making and/or packaging hand crafted cakes and cookies!

What does the job pay?

Seasonal positions pay $16.00 per hour

Zingerman's Bakehouse is located at 3711 Plaza Drive in Ann Arbor.

What are the availability requirements?

We are looking for someone who can work 40 hours per week for every week in November and December, with regular availability between 8 am and 4 pm on Tuesdays through Saturdays. As this position is seasonal, we require availability for each week in November and December.

What are the physical requirements of the job?

We require the ability to stand, lift and bend for up to 8-hours, with breaks; the ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and the ability to work with repetitive motion including fine manipulation of hands and fingers.

What kinds of things do you do in this job?

Holiday CakeCrew will work on our team doing a variety of essential tasks while working with us. A few examples are:

• Icing our cream cheese cakes
• Creating fondant decorations
• Filling cupcakes with our tasty fillings
• Covering and decorating holiday cookies
• Packaging and labeling our holiday cookies and cake slices
• Folding cake boxes and sorting cakes

This position will begin Tuesday, November 3rd and end the last week of December.

Yes! We encourage it - many of us who work here started as a seasonal holiday crew member. We usually have a limited number of positions at the Bakehouse and elsewhere in the Zingerman's Community of Businesses after the job ends.
