Job summary

Mariner is seeking a hands-on Information Security Engineer to join our Security Engineering & Architecture team. You will implement, configure, and operate security controls across network, infrastructure, cloud, apps and integration services in a zero-trust aligned framework.

You will design guardrails, observability, and automated controls, collaborating with GRC and other teams. If you enjoy solving technical security challenges and delivering automation, this role offers significant impact

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent practical experience.
• 4–8 years of hands-on security engineering or related experience.
• Experience securing hybrid cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Experience with IAM and MFA configurations.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF and CIS Controls.
• Ability to translate standards into automated security controls.
• Strong collaboration with engineering, infrastructure, and GRC.

Responsibilities

• Implement secure-default controls across networks, cloud, apps.
• Drive zero trust adoption in new/acquired environments.
• Develop controls as code using automation scripts.
• Enhance observability and monitoring for assets and config.
• Remediate findings and manage risk at scale.
• Support risk quantification and policy-based risk scoring.
• Assist acquisition integration with standardized environments.
