Job summary

Ashburn Consulting is seeking a Network Engineer to support a transition from a legacy Juniper MPLS-based WAN to a modern zero-trust cloud network (e.g., Zscaler). You will coordinate with network security teams and client stakeholders to plan migrations and ensure uninterrupted mission-critical services during the cutovers.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience with Juniper/MPLS, strong routing knowledge, and the ability to produce clear technical documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in network engineering with Juniper MPLS environments.
• Experience migrating from legacy WAN/MPLS to zero-trust cloud solutions.
• Strong routing/WAN protocol knowledge and security policy enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Lead/coordinat e migration planning and cutover windows with stakeholders.
• Validate connectivity and performance during each migration stage.
• Document architecture changes and runbooks; communicate risks clearly.
• Support post-migration decommissioning of legacy MPLS.
