Job summary

Barbaricum is seeking a Journeyman Cyber Security Engineer (Microsoft) to support USSOCOM EDAT Zero Trust initiatives in Tampa, FL. The role focuses on engineering and operational support for Microsoft security technologies to strengthen identity, endpoint, data, and security operations.

You will work with senior engineers and cybersecurity professionals on RMF activities, security documentation, and capability integration, including SIEM/SOAR and UEBA.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility; DoD personnel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft security technologies within the Zero Trust architecture.
• Assist deployment and administration of Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview, Entra ID, Logic Apps, and related services.
• Configure analytics rules, dashboards, alerts, and automation to improve threat detection and response.
• Support UEBA and SOAR capabilities using Microsoft security platforms.
• Assist with integrating security telemetry from Microsoft and third-party systems.
• Collaborate with ISSOs and government stakeholders to support Zero Trust.
• Support RMF documentation and ATO artifacts.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments and STIG implementation.
