Job summary

Navitas Business Consulting Inc. is seeking a Data Pillar Security Lead to own the data pillar for a major federal project. You’ll define maturity, drive Databricks governance, and design DLP controls during a live Zscaler rollout, serving as the security voice across policy, data platform, SOC, and the CDO.

You’ll collaborate with leadership to align 8 data functions to NIST/4300A controls, while ensuring successful delivery and risk management in a hybrid schedule with periodic travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 4+ years of equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in IT or cybersecurity, including 5+ in data security, data governance or DLP.
• Hands-on experience designing and tuning an enterprise DLP platform (Zscaler preferred).
• Experience with data classification, PII/SPII handling, and federal frameworks (ZTMM, NIST 800-207/800-53, RMF/ATO).
• Strong writing skills; able to brief senior government leaders.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DHS Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Data pillar strategy: own maturity baseline, KPIs and roadmap across 8 data functions.
• Databricks governance: strengthen Unity Catalog access controls, tagging, lineage, encryption and audit; move to ABAC.
• Zscaler DLP: design and tune DLP across web, endpoint, email, SaaS and GenAI; migrate legacy rules.
• Compliance and delivery: map controls to NIST 800-53 and DHS 4300A; support ATO work and brief leaders.
