Job summary

Barbaricum is seeking a Senior Data Security Engineer in Tampa, FL to lead data protection programs across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will design DRM and data-centric security controls, integrate with ICAM, and implement Microsoft Purview and related security technologies to safeguard CUI and sensitive data.

The role requires DoD Zero Trust experience, DoD RMF alignment, and strong communication skills to mentor junior engineers and collaborate with mission partners.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of cybersecurity or information security engineering.
• Experience implementing DRM/IRM/EDRM technologies.
• Knowledge of DoD Zero Trust principles, RMF guidance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and sustain enterprise Data Rights Management (DRM) solutions for DoD Zero Trust.
• Engineer data-centric security controls protecting sensitive information across locations and devices.
• Configure encryption, labeling, classification, access control, and persistent protection.
• Develop and maintain enterprise data classification schemas and automated labeling policies.
• Integrate DRM with ICAM solutions to enforce access controls and authorization.
• Collaborate with Zero Trust architects on PDPs/PEPs and continuous authorization.
• Support secure collaboration using Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online.
• Provide architectural reviews, security engineering leadership, and mentoring.
