Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for on-site duties in Wilmington, MA. The role focuses on programming, operating, and maintaining ZEISS CALYPSO CMM inspection routines for the Zeiss Contura G2, and involves interpreting drawings and GD&T to support product conformance.

The candidate should have deep CMM experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to document results and resolve issues with Quality and Engineering in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience programming and operating a Zeiss CMM using ZEISS CALYPSO, including developing and validating inspection programs.
• Proficiency with standard mechanical inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges).
• Ability to interpret work instructions, specifications and build documentation.
• High attention to detail, strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Education as stated: high school diploma with experience or an associate degree with experience.

Responsibilities

• Program, validate, troubleshoot, and optimize ZEISS CALYPSO inspection routines for the Zeiss Contura G2 CMM.
• Operate the CMM to perform first article, in-process, final, and other dimensional inspections.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to determine inspection requirements and measurement strategies.
• Create and maintain clear, controlled CMM program documentation and inspection records.
• Verify CMM program results and measurement repeatability before release for production use.
• Document inspection results, nonconformances, and process discrepancies in quality systems.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve inspection and build issues.
