Job summary

Accelera Staffing is seeking a CNC Programmer with deep Zeiss Calypso programming experience and hands-on CMM operation to support precision grinding and machining tasks. The role requires analyzing schematics, GD&T requirements, and client standards to create robust CNC programs.

Qualifications

• A minimum of three years spent in a CNC programming role within a production setting.
• Deep familiarity with CNC controls, G-Code, and standard machining methodologies.
• A demonstrated ability to decipher intricate blueprints and apply GD&T standards.
• A background in metalworking, CNC machining, or precision grinding is considered an asset.
• Skilled in the use of various measurement tools, including indicators, calipers, micrometers, and specialized gauges.
• A proven capacity for complex problem-solving and technical troubleshooting.
• Prior experience utilizing CAD/CAM software is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create, author, and adjust CNC programs to support precision grinding and machining tasks.
• Analyze engineering schematics, technical drawings, GD&T requirements, and client-specific standards.
• Determine optimal fixtures, tooling, and operational parameters to enhance output quality and production efficiency.
• Drive process refinement and troubleshooting to help maintain a high standard of operational excellence.
• Assist machine operators and setup staff during the introduction of new production runs.
• Refine current programming logic to boost cycle speeds and minimize material waste.
• Validate the precision of programs by conducting thorough test runs and first-article inspections.
• Work alongside the Engineering and Quality teams to address and solve production-related challenges.
• Ensure all program revisions are documented accurately and kept under strict version control.
• Uphold ISO 9001 quality protocols while ensuring a safe working environment for the entire team.
