Job summary

The University of Minnesota in Twin Cities is seeking a Researcher 1 to perform quantitative and statistical analyses of electrophysiological, optical imaging, and behavioral data from zebrafish experiments. You will work on the development of spinal locomotor circuits and collaborate with faculty, postdocs, and students.

Required qualifications include a biology-focused bachelor's degree and 1–2 years of zebrafish experience, with proficiency in zebrafish husbandry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a biological science or equivalent with at least four years education/experience.
  • 1-2 years' experience working with zebrafish.
  • Proficient husbandry and breeding of zebrafish.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research into the structural and functional organization of spinal locomotor circuits during development.
  • Maintain zebrafish lines, genotyping, RT-PCR, immunofluorescence, microscopy and behavior.
  • Supervise undergraduate students and assist with supplies.
