Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a scientist to develop and enhance zebrafish assay capabilities within the Investigative Toxicology and Pathology group. You will interface with Discovery, Development Sciences, and Preclinical Toxicology to advance risk assessment for novel therapeutics.

The role requires hands-on zebrafish assays, strong organizational skills, and ability to generate reproducible data while troubleshooting and refining methods in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in cell/molecular biology, Molecular toxicology/Pharmacology, biochemistry or a related field
• Wet lab experience required
• Familiarity with staining and imaging techniques
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Strong data interpretation and statistical/graphing software knowledge

Responsibilities

• Assist with animal husbandry and zebrafish line maintenance
• Use staining and imaging to investigate toxicity mechanisms
• Develop and validate new lab methodologies
• Conduct independent research to advance project objectives
• Generate reliable data and interpret results with precision
• Collaborate across AbbVie groups with clear communication
