Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of experience caring for animals (feeding, watering, housing, health checks).
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work independently.
• Effective communication with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Care for aquatic animals including feeding, transferring, cleaning cages, and applying medications as prescribed.
• Follow posted instructions to maintain a clean and safe lab environment.
• Operate cage washing machine and power sprayer; assist with equipment maintenance and inventory.
• Monitor animal health and maintain records; perform census counts.
• Report to the Director of AqACS; work schedule includes weekends and holidays.
