Job summary

Hudson Restaurant Group seeks an experienced Assistant General Manager to lead one of our Zaxby's restaurants. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee daily operations, coach staff and help drive strong restaurant performance in a fast-paced environment.

This hands-on leadership role requires shift leadership, high standards for food quality and guest service, and the ability to recruit, train, and develop the team. Join a growing restaurant group with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• One to three years of restaurant leadership experience preferred.
• Quick-service restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to lead shifts, coach team members and hold others accountable.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Basic scheduling, inventory, labor and food-cost management understanding.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Complete required Zaxby's training.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in daily restaurant operations.
• Lead shifts and ensure staffing and operations.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, guest service, cleanliness, accuracy and speed.
• Coach and develop Restaurant Directors, shift leaders and team members.
• Recruiting, onboarding, training and employee retention.
• Build schedules that support business needs and labor-productivity goals.
• Help manage inventory, food costs, waste and variance; monitor performance and drive improvements.
• Resolve guest and team-member concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure food-safety and workplace-safety and brand standards.
• Complete checklists, audits and operating routines.
• Support new products, promotions and company initiatives.
• Help create a positive, accountable, performance-driven culture.
• Step in to lead the restaurant when the General Manager is unavailable.
