The ideal candidate enjoys a fast-paced sports environment, is reliable, and can work flexible hours based on the event schedule. Hockey knowledge is a plus, and prior ice-rink experience is beneficial but training may be provided.

Qualifications

• Hockey knowledge or experience preferred.
• Zamboni/ice-rink or arena operations experience a plus (training may be provided).

Responsibilities

• Operate the Zamboni and ice-maintenance equipment as trained.
• Perform ice resurfacing and routine maintenance.
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and general ice crew duties before, during, and after events.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized rink and surrounding areas.
• Follow safety procedures and venue policies.
• Assist with hockey games, practices, tournaments, and other ice-related events.
• Collaborate with the venue operations team to ensure events run smoothly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

FLSA STATUS: Part time $18.00

Position Overview

Responsibilities

• Operate the Zamboni and other ice-maintenance equipment as trained.
• Perform ice resurfacing and routine ice maintenance.
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and general ice crew duties before, during, and after events.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized rink and surrounding areas.
• Follow all safety procedures and venue policies.
• Assist with hockey games, practices, tournaments, and other ice-related events.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with variable hours based on the Sanford Center's event and hockey schedule . Candidates should be available for a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
