Job summary

Legends Global in Fishers, IN is seeking a part-time Zamboni Driver to uphold ice quality for practices, games, and events. You will operate the Zamboni, perform resurfacing, and help prepare the arena for guests.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and a HS diploma or GED. Prior facility ops experience is a plus, and forklift skills are welcome.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous facility operations experience a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Zamboni experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ice for practices, games and events, maintaining depth and cleanliness.
• Operate ice resurfacer and edger equipment; perform resurfacing.
• Repair and build ice around goals and other areas.
• Drive Zamboni during games to NHL standards.
• Maintain locker rooms and assist with setup and teardown for events.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Work under tight schedules to meet deadlines.

Zamboni Drivers maintain the quality and safety of the ice surface along with resurfacing for preparation for various activities and ensuring a positive experience for guests.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare ice for all practices, games and other ice events. This includes removing debris, checking ice depth, scraping, edging, resurfacing ice and maintenance of spectator nettingOperate and maintain the ice re-surface and ice-edger equipmentRepair and build iceDrive Zamboni during hockey games maintaining the ice to NHL standards.Must be familiar with techniques for repairing and building ice around hockey goals and other areas that lose ice.Perform general physical labor associated with set up and break down for events i.e. laying turf, installing basketball floor, making iceMaintain locker room areas. Make repairs as directed by the Operations ManagerOperate a forklift truckWork effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule to produce accurate results and meet deadlinesMay perform other duties as assignedQualificationsTo perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
