Job summary

Edge Sports Global LLC is hiring a Zamboni Assistant for the Bridgewater Ice Arena. This role focuses on janitorial tasks and behind-the-scenes support to keep the arena clean, safe, and welcoming for athletes and families.

The position is flexible in hours and requires reliability, teamwork, and good communication. The ideal candidate should be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, lift and stand for extended periods, and work in a cold environment.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or facility maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be physically able to lift, bend, push/pull, and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in a cold environment.
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills required.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
• Must be a team player with a customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily janitorial tasks including cleaning locker rooms, restrooms, common areas, and spectator stands.
• Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the facility.
• Mop, sweep, and general upkeep of floors and walkways.
• Ensure a clean and sanitary environment for all guests and employees.
• Assist with rink setup and breakdown: moving nets, benches, and dividers.
• Support Zamboni drivers by edging, ice patching, and resurfacing prep (not driving).
• Shovel excess snow from the ice surface after a resurface.
• Monitor and maintain adequate supplies (towels, soap, etc.).
• Provide friendly, professional customer service to guests.
• Maintain a teamwork-first attitude with patrons and staff.
• Contribute to a safe working environment by following guidelines and reporting hazards.

While this role does not involve operating the Zamboni, the assistant plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in maintaining a clean, safe, and customer-friendly environment.
