Job summary

SGS Consulting in Colorado Springs seeks an expert z/OS systems programmer with hands-on experience across catalog management, ISPF/SDSF, z/FS, Unix System Services, JES2/JES3 and DASD architecture.

You will work independently to own z/OS tasks, configure DFSMS and security with RACF, and collaborate on IBM software installs using ServerPac, z/OSMF, CBPDO, and related subsystems.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of direct z/OS systems programming experience.
• Expert knowledge of catalogs, ISPF/SDSF, z/FS, Unix System Services.
• Experience with JES2/JES3, SYS1.PARMLIB, SYS1.PROCLIB and RACF administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead z/OS tasks independently and take ownership of assignments.

Extensive hands-on experience with z/OS systems programming (not operations or development).Expert knowledge and experience of:Catalog management, ISPF/SDSF, z/FS, Unix System Services.JES2/JES3, SYS1.PARMLIB, SYS1.PROCLIB.Configuration of couple datasets.RACF administration (User IDs, Groups, Certificates, Resources, KeyRings).IBM software installation via ServerPac, z/OSMF, CBPDO.DFSMS, DFHSM, DFDSS, DFRMM, System Logger, XCF.DASD architecture, FICON/ESCON, cryptographic coprocessors, VTS.Proven ability to work independently and take full ownership of z/OS tasks.
