Job summary

Brevard Public Schools ACCESS Project c/o EGHS - Melbourne, Florida seeks a qualified Track SR Boys coach for a full-time role. This position requires a BA/BS in a FLDOE subject area, Florida Instructional Certification, and Florida Athletic Coaching Certification to qualify for hire.

Qualified candidates will have at least two years of documented track coaching experience and demonstrate leadership while managing large groups of student-athletes.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in FLDOE certificate subject area required.
• Florida Instructional Certification required (any subject).
• Florida Athletic Coaching Certification required (Professional 5 Year or Temporary 3 Year).
• Two (2) years documented Track coaching experience required.
• CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross recommended/required for five-year certificate path.

Job Description

EDUACATION AND CERTIFICATION

• REQUIRED: BA/BS from a regionally accredited program/university in FLDOE certificate subject area
• REQUIRED: Florida Instructional Certification (any subject)
• PREFERRED: BA/BS from a regionally accredited program/university.
• REQUIRED: Florida Athletic Coaching Certification [Professional 5 Year or Temporary 3 Year Athletic Coaching Certificate issued by the State of Florida Department of Education or be eligible and apply upon extension of offer]

Notes: Temporary Athletic Coaching Certificates are not renewable by the State of Florida. To obtain a five year (Professional) Athletic Coaching Certificate issued by the State of Florida Dept of Education, you will be required to Complete Sports Specific, Sports Medicine, and Sports Theory and receive a valid CPR card from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

EXPERIENCE

• REQUIRED: Two (2) years documented Track coaching experience. Extensive knowledge of the sport at the competition level. Demonstrated leadership skills and the management of large groups of students/athletes.
• PREFERRED: Three (3) to five (5) years documented Track coaching experience
