Brevard Public Schools ACCESS Project c/o EGHS - Melbourne, Florida is seeking a dedicated middle school boys soccer assistant coach for a full-time role. The candidate will coach, mentor and lead student-athletes, coordinating activities and practices on campus in Melbourne.

Requirements include Florida Certification (or eligible) with CPR/AHA or Red Cross CPR, plus two years of coaching experience at the secondary level, and the ability to manage large groups of players with a focus on safety

Formación

• Florida Instructional Certification required.
• Two years of sport-specific coaching experience at the secondary level.
• CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross required or eligible for extension.

Responsabilidades

• Provide coaching for middle school boys soccer and lead program activities.
• Demonstrate leadership and manage large groups of student-athletes.
• Support development of athletes and coordinate with school administration.

Job Description

Education: BA/BS from a regionally accredited program/university in FLDOE certificate subject area- REQ Certification: Florida Instructional Certification (any subject)- REQ OR Education: BA/BS from a regionally accredited program/university-PREF Certification: Florida Athletic Coaching Certification [Professional 5 Year or Temporary* 3 Year Athletic Coaching Certificate issued by the State of Florida Department of Education or be eligible and apply upon extension of offer]- REQ Experience: Two (2) years documented sport specific and age level (Secondary) specific (Varsity vs. Freshman/JV) coaching experience. Extensive knowledge of the sport at the competition level. Demonstrated leadership skills and the management of large groups of students/athletes Substitutions: College level coaching may substitute for High School coaching experience Notes: * Temporary Athletic Coaching Certificates are not renewable by the State of Florida. To obtain a five year (Professional) Athletic Coaching Certificate issued by the State of Florida Dept of Education, you will be required to Complete Sports Specific, Sports Medicine, and Sports Theory and receive a valid CPR card from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
