**Job Description**
BAE Systems is seeking entry-level welders to support our vehicle fabrication from our Trade School Partners.
Welders are responsible for setting up and operating handheld or machine-guided welding equipment. Material joining or buildup is accomplished using positioners, fixtures, hand layout, or other means per process documentation. Welding processes may include MIG wire, dual shield, flux core, submerged arc, TIG, or stick electrode welding, as well as carbon arc gouging, plasma arc gouging, and oxy-acetylene cutting. Welders will operate support equipment such as jib or overhead cranes, portable chippers, grinders, and various hand tools including wrenches, brushes, lighters, scales, squares, and weld gauges. Welders will interact with Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineers, Weld Technicians, and Inspection personnel supporting the production process.
All employees are required to pass a medical fit-for-duty examination, including pulmonary function and vision screenings.
Selected candidates will receive training and certification to applicable welding specifications.
