Cambrick Yard in Plano, TX is seeking a YouTube Video Editor to create engaging videos with fast turnarounds. You will work with a small team, using Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere for funny on-screen gags or simple animations, taking rough concepts to polished final videos.

You will establish storylines, draft storyboards, gather media, and refine video and audio to deliver high-quality results for client projects. Strong collaboration and communication are essential.

OVERVIEW:

Join our team as a YouTube Video Editor!

At Cambrick Yard, our strategy and planning team is made up of inventive, digitally-minded creators who understand nuances of journalistic and news reporting cornerstones while providing informative, useful, and fun narratives.

Ideal candidates will take content and run with it with basic initial guidance. We're looking for editors that are quick and efficient and thrive on fast-turnarounds. They should also like collaborating with a small team from time to time and do equally well with direction when given. We want outside-the-box thinkers with a good sense of humor who aren't afraid to get in Photoshop or After Effects and get their hands dirty (so to speak!) if the result is funny on-screen gags or simple animations

PRIMARY TASKS

• Creation of new assets and transitional elements in Photoshop or Illustrator
• Photo-manipulation for on-screen assets in Photoshop
• Simple After Effects or Premiere animations of assets from time to time
• Layered effects (possibly utilizing simple masks)
• Basic rotoscoping from time to time
• Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in the correct format
• Operate computer editing systems and equipment used for video media and effects
• Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation
• Create an initial proposed storyboard draft of the video to present and receive approval before beginning to digitally alter video
• Improve video and sound quality using various video software
• Edit video to include preselected music, interviews, sound clips, and other important aspects of the project
• Ensure the correct formatting and presentation for finalized videos as specified

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in film editing or a related degree is required
• Professional mastery of video and audio editing software and programs
• Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously
• Creative experience in filmmaking and videography
• Ability to understand the desired outcome of a project when meeting with clients and the ability to bring them to life
• Experience editing various video projects and inserting sound effects, music, and transitionsn
• Proficient in creating concept boards and other visual representations of planned edits for video projects
• Excellent communication skills are required to have a solid understanding of project scope and implementation
• Ability to collaborate well with other creative professionals to supply clients with top-notch finalized products
