We're looking for an editor with a passion for YouTube and a sharp instinct for what keeps viewers watching. You should thrive in a collaborative environment, understand how clarity, pacing, and strong hooks drive retention in talking-head content, and love turning long-form ideas into tight, engaging videos. Most importantly, you're a lifelong learner who's always looking for ways to level up your editing skills and keep the audience hooked.

Who You Are
  • Passionate about creating clear, engaging talking-head content that keeps viewers watching to the end.
  • A team player who brings ideas to the table and is open to feedback.
  • An expert editor who knows how to craft a narrative, open with a strong hook, and hold retention throughout.
  • Skilled at making complex or educational ideas feel simple, fast, and worth watching.
  • Highly organized and able to hit a consistent weekly deadline.
  • Always up-to-date on the latest YouTube trends and content strategies.
What You'll Do:

  • Optimize workflows to improve efficiency, speed, and consistency.
  • Coordinate with producers and production staff to plan edits ahead of shoots when possible.
  • Collaborate with producers and on-screen talent to refine concepts and storytelling.
  • Partner with the production team during pre-production to anticipate post-production needs and improve shoot efficiency.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance editing environment.
  • Work cross-functionally with social, marketing, and publishing teams to ensure content is optimized for distribution.
  • Align with brand leadership to develop and evolve the visual and editing style of the new TCP channel.
  • As the channel scales, help refine workflows and support additional editing capacity if the team grows.
3. Technical Oversight
  • Troubleshoot editing, software, and hardware issues as they arise.
  • Ensure all exports meet technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Stay current on editing trends, tools, plugins, and workflow improvements.
  • Maintain the overall visual style, pacing, and storytelling standards for the TCP channel.
  • Execute final cuts including color grading, sound design, music selection, and visual effects/motion graphics.
  • Shape pacing, narrative flow, and hooks to maximize clarity and audience retention.
  • Ensure all content aligns with platform-specific best practices.
  • Utilize stock content and AI tools within editing workflows.
Job Requirements

  • Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro and proficiency in After Effects.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and audience retention.
  • Experience editing talking-head, interview, or educational content is a strong plus.
  • Experience with motion graphics, sound design, and color grading.
  • Exceptional organization and time-management skills.
  • Including the word "Panther" in your cover letter or note to prove you actually read this.
