Job summary

Dhar Mann Studios in Los Angeles is seeking an exceptional Showrunner to lead the creative vision for our flagship YouTube Main Channel, combining hands-on writing with leadership and data-driven decision making.

You will build a lean team, delivering five production-ready scripts weekly, and collaborate across Production and Finance to ensure business and creative success. This in-person role demands strong storytelling, YouTube fluency, and results-driven leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years proven showrunning or equivalent creative leadership experience.
• Exceptional original scripted writing skills with a strong portfolio.
• Outstanding ideation instincts and track record of developing engaging concepts.
• Recent hands-on success creating/leading content for YouTube, with native understanding of platform and performance drivers.
• Ability to use analytics to diagnose creative performance and translate findings into better storytelling.
• Financial and operational judgment: budgets, production economics, staffing tradeoffs, KPIs.
• Track record of building reliable workflows and improving quality without automatic headcount growth.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume production environments with careful resource deployment.
• Strong people leadership, creative judgment, cross-functional collaboration, and ability to give direct feedback.
• Comfort with new technologies, collaboration tools, automation, and process improvement.
• Excellent organization, responsiveness, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Own the Main Channel creative vision and storytelling standards from concept through production and final edit.
• Be a hands-on writer: originate ideas, write and rewrite scripts, fix story problems, elevate other writers.
• Lead the team in delivering five production-ready scripts weekly through a lean, repeatable pipeline.
• Generate fresh concepts, characters, formats, and recurring franchises.
• Guide pitches, beat sheets, outlines, scripts, and revisions with clear notes on hooks, motivation, stakes, pacing, and payoff.
• Maintain a forward-looking story and script pipeline; remove bottlenecks and ensure smooth handoffs.
• Use YouTube analytics to improve creative decisions.
• Partner with Distribution on titles, thumbnails, programming, and packaging; turn reviews into action.
• Stay current on digital culture and platform changes; identify opportunities.
