Job summary

Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania is seeking a YouthWorks Coordinator to oversee day-to-day YouthWorks operations. You will supervise staff, plan and administer programs, and ensure financial and program compliance while contributing to the region’s youth workforce development.

External hiring range indicates hourly compensation; travel is required and 40-hour work weeks with some nights/weekends may apply.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Human Services, Social Services, Business/Management, or related field with 4 years’ experience OR a Bachelors Degree with 2 years’ experience in human services and youth work.

Responsibilities

As the YouthWorks Coordinator you would be responsible for the day-to-day management of YouthWorks. Tasks include supervision of staff, assuring the proper planning, execution and administration of all programs, and providing oversight for financial functions. You would have the opportunity to play an integral role in charting the future success of YouthWorks mission as one of the region’s leaders in youth workforce development.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with program staff to carry out short and long-term plans for YouthWorks services.
  • Oversee and manage the work of program staff; encourage ongoing staff development.
  • Ensure programs adhere to all guidelines and requirements to maintain applicable credentials, certifications, compliance, etc.
  • Provide specific training, support and supervision to participants by ensuring that individuals’ needs are met, goals are implemented, and a safe environment is maintained.

Travel Required: Yes, some travel may be required.

Schedule: 40 Hours per week, some nights and weekends required. Schedule can vary depending on department needs.

External Hiring Range: $$24.96-$25.16/hour

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree' (Human Services, Social Services, Bussiness/Management, or related field) AND 4 years' experience in human services, workforce development field(s), and working with at risk youth between 14-24 years old required. OR
  • Bachelors Degree' (Human Services, Social Services, Bussiness/Management, or related field) AND 2 years' experience in human services, workforce development field(s), and working with at risk youth between 14-24 years old required

AdditionalQualifications:

  • Candidates are expected to provide current valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to first day of employment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
