Job summary

Rite of Passage at Uta Halee Academy in Omaha seeks a Youth Care Worker to provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for female youth in a residential program. You will help maintain a supportive, structured environment aligned with each student’s treatment plan.

The role requires at least 2 years of youth work and post-high school education; candidates must be 21+, pass multiple screenings, and be able to work overnight shifts with integrity and compassion.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of post‑high school education.
• Must have 2 years of experience working with youth.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
• Pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Responsibilities

Pay

starting at $18.00/hour for those with less than 2 years of experience with at-risk youth and a high school diploma.

What you will do:

As a Youth Care Worker, you’ll provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for the youth in our program and create an atmosphere that supports students’ needs. You’ll monitor and document student behaviors during the night and collaborate with other professional staff to establish and/or meet the goals of each student’s treatment plan.

To be considered, you should:

• Possess at least 2 years of post‑high school education
• 2 years of experience working with youth
• be at least 21 years of age
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test
• Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Schedule: Looking to fill full-time shift:

Overnights:

This is an awake‑night position.

• -B Shift from Wednesday to Saturday from 10 pm - 8 am

Days

• -B Shift is Wednesday from 2 pm to 10 pm with a 1-hour break, and Thursday - Saturday from 8 am to 10 pm with a 2-hour break.
