Job summary

Middlesex College invites applications for a part-time instructor in Grants & Special Projects. The role supports the Workforce Development & Lifelong Learning department, delivering instruction and counseling to at-risk youth at the New Brunswick and Perth Amboy campuses.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and teaching experience with youth, along with a valid driver’s license. Hours are up to 20 weekly, with a flexible schedule including some evenings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Teaching youth in multiple subjects.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic skill development and work readiness instruction to at-risk youth.
• Handles case management, including CASAS testing, GED scheduling, and updating progress notes.
• Onboards new students with acceptance letters, orientation paperwork, and distribution of materials.
• Provides career counseling to youth.
• Prepares instructional materials and works to make students work-ready through workshops.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
