Job summary

Bgcaz Youth Development Specialist- Health & Wellness Instructor is responsible for the safety and supervision of Club members. Under the direction of the Program Director, the youth development specialist delivers quality programs and health and wellness activities to Club members.

Utilizes the organization’s mission, vision, and values to set members up for success and provide an outcome-driven Club experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Passion for working with youth.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• If 21 or older, valid driver’s license required.
• Safety oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develops, organizes, and facilitates programs and activities using a formal curriculum.
• Directly runs programming and high-yield activities in the assigned area.
• Implements programming highlighting physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, including nutrition and fitness.
• Plans wellness events to showcase youth achievements and celebrate healthy living.
• Administers outcome measurement tools.
• Delivers programs with enthusiasm, high energy, and a positive attitude.
