Job summary

Sycamores provides a spectrum of equitable mental health services with a focus on low-income, high-risk youth. The Community Wellness Specialist - Educational Support Services role develops coping skills and promotes safety and academic success, with transfers to home and community and a focus on wellness and resilience through targeted interventions and referrals.

Starting pay aligns with experience, ranging from $21 to $25 per hour, and it requires travel between client locations in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or AA degree with one year of direct care experience required; two years preferred, OR Bachelor's degree with one year direct care experience.
• California driver's license and a personal vehicle required.
• Proof of auto insurance meeting minimum coverage requirements.
• Must satisfy pre-employment background check, drug, and health screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral and academic interventions to develop coping and problem-solving skills.
• Promote safety, academic success, and attachment for youth.
• Carry over skills to home and community as needed.
• Participate in student team meetings and coordinate wellness and resilience interventions.
• Link to and refer resources within the community when identified as needed.
