Job summary

The Maryland State Department of Education, Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS), seeks a VR Specialist II to provide Pre-Employment Transition Services for youth and students with disabilities in Montgomery County. Hybrid schedule may be available, with up to 3 telework days per week after training.

Responsibilities include assessing eligibility, coordinating services with partners, and supporting employment readiness and job placement aligned with individual goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s may substitute for one year.
• Two years of professional experience in a behavioral or social science-related field, or one year of experience as a VR Specialist I providing rehabilitation counseling or vocational evaluation services to clients with disabilities.
• Proof of eligibility to work per the Immigration Reform and Control Act.
