Job summary

Lighthouse Central Florida seeks a Teacher of the Visually Impaired to collaborate on vision-specific program curricula and instruction for the Children's and Transition Program. Travel to schools and IEP-related support may be required, with some nights and weekends possible.

You’ll join a multidisciplinary team delivering vision rehabilitation services and have a direct impact on youth who are blind or visually impaired, contributing to program development and family collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a related field.
• 2+ years’ experience with individuals with visual impairments.
• Passion for mission-driven work and improving lives.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering vision rehabilitation services.
• Impact the lives of youth who are blind or visually impaired.
• Provide direct client support and assessments for youth programs and school contracts.
• Contribute to program development and family/community collaboration.
