Denver Children's Home is seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to provide direct care to children as Youth Treatment Counselors. This role involves delivering trauma-informed, quality youth care in a safe environment with close supervision of adolescent clients in a residential setting.

Essential Job Duties
  • Supervise and engage with youth according to a structured daily schedule.
  • Maintain professional boundaries.
  • Meet the basic physical and emotional needs of youth daily.
  • Facilitate activities and intervene as needed to promote healthy behavior.
  • Use approved crisis intervention strategies during emergencies.
  • Model conflict resolution and implement treatment team interventions.
  • Assist with academic support and participate in team meetings.
  • Train new staff and ensure effective shift communication.
  • Complete documentation and maintain a clean environment.
  • Transport clients on a limited basis as needed.
Schedule

Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 3:30 pm

Qualifications
  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university
  • At least 21 years of age
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to pass a physical exam and background checks (Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Colorado Central Registry of Child Abuse and Neglect)
  • Obtain First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Preferred: clean Motor Vehicle Record and qualified driver status
