Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago is seeking a part-time Van Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for youth ages 6–18 and staff between Club locations, schools, and program sites.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and candidates should be at least 25 years old. CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred or obtainable within a set timeframe. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 25 years old.
• Previous experience transporting youth preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred, or the ability to obtain them within a designated timeframe.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Club-owned vehicles to transport youth and staff between locations.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Maintain transportation documentation such as attendance rosters and mileage records.
• Coordinate routine vehicle maintenance and fueling as directed.
• Communicate with staff, parents/guardians, and school personnel about transportation needs.
• Support Club programs and supervise youth during transitions.
