Job summary

The Van Driver at Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago provides safe, reliable transportation for youth ages 6–18 and staff between Club locations, schools, and program sites, ensuring passenger safety and compliance with state and federal regulations. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a minimum age of 25, and a valid Illinois driver’s license, with CPR/First Aid preferred.

• Must be at least 25 years old.
• Previous experience transporting youth preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred, or ability to obtain them within timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Transport youth and staff safely between clubs, schools, and program sites.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Maintain transportation documentation and logs.
• Communicate transportation needs and delays to staff and families.
• Support Club operations and youth programs as assigned.
