Job summary

Easterseals Vermont is seeking a Youth Development Coordinator to guide young adults ages 14-23 through education, housing, and employment goals as they transition into adulthood. You’ll collaborate with agencies to build supportive networks and promote healthy, independent living.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed engagement, strong organizational skills, and the ability to drive local outreach with families and communities. Full-time position in Vermont with travel requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in independent living services is beneficial but not required.
• Significant local travel required.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
• Must be able to manage finances and balance a checkbook.
• Must have good organizational skills and be able to engage young adults who have experienced trauma.

Responsibilities

• Assist young adults ages 14-23 in developing and pursuing goals as they transition into adulthood.
• Support education, housing, employment skills, healthy relationships, and sustainable living.
• Engage community networks and partners to enhance outcomes for participants.
• Coordinate local travel and outreach to serve youth where they are located.
