Job summary

Cape Abilities is seeking a Transition Services Specialist to lead curriculum development for students and young adults with disabilities, aligning programs with WIOA and MassAbility requirements. You will design engaging lessons, coordinate work-based learning, and partner with schools and employers to create competitive, integrated employment pathways.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Services, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Psychology or related field.
• Experience working with adolescents or young adults with disabilities preferred.
• Experience facilitating groups or delivering educational programming preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enhance age-appropriate curriculum aligned with WIOA and MassAbility Pre-ETS.
• Create lesson plans, activities, and materials for career exploration and workplace readiness.
• Collaborate with schools, employers, and community partners to integrate real-world experiences.
• Coordinate Work-Based Learning opportunities, including internships and job shadowing.
• Support participant feedback, outcomes tracking, and program evaluation.
