Job summary

Nurturing Growth and Compassionate care Ltd is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Kent to help young people aged 16 and over develop skills, confidence, and independence for education, employment, and life goals.

You will build relationships, provide tailored one-to-one and group support, and liaise with colleges, employers, and social services to enable successful transitions into adulthood.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire young people aged 16–25.
• Empathetic, patient, and non-judgemental approach with safeguarding focus.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills to manage plans and records.
• Ability to work both independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with young people and families.
• Provide tailored one-to-one and group support to help goals.
• Support education, training, employment, and volunteering opportunities.
• Develop independent living skills (budgeting, cooking, travel, appointments).
• Support goal setting, action planning and personal development.
• Promote wellbeing, resilience and self-confidence.
• Advocate for young people and represent their views.
• Liaise with colleges, employers, providers, social workers and healthcare.
• Help access community resources and specialist services.
• Monitor progress, review plans and maintain records.
• Safeguard and report concerns per policies.
