Job summary

The YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Tennis Instructor for the Prospect Park YMCA in Brooklyn, NY. This part-time/regular role involves delivering safe, engaging tennis lessons, and promoting inclusive participation for youth and families.

You will plan progressive sessions, supervise participants, and coordinate with the supervisor to align objectives with program standards. Strong communication and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year teaching children/teens sports in a structured setting.
• Knowledge of youth development stages.
• Content expert in designated sports activity.
• Ability to communicate effectively with members of all ages.
• Current First Aid or CPR certifications.
• Must attend YMCA Coaching 101 Training within 90 days.
• Must receive CDC HEADS UP Concussion in Youth Sports certificate within 30 days.
