Job summary

New York Junior Tennis & Learning (NYJTL) invites applications for a part-time/seasonal Tennis Coach to support youth programs across multiple NYC locations. You will supervise youth, assist in coaching and drills, and manage administrative and court-related tasks for daily sessions.

With flexible scheduling year-round (fall, winter, spring, summer), you can contribute to meaningful youth development while balancing other commitments. Apparel is provided by NYJTL at no cost.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or current high school enrollment.
• Successful completion of pre-employment basic tennis skills assessment.
• Completion of NYJTL or similar tennis coaching seminars (Provided).
• Requires previous experience working with children in similar setting.
• USPTA/PTR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Reports to assigned site daily, on time, properly attired and ready to work (Apparel provided).
• Adheres to positive coaching philosophy motivating participants through encouragement and praise.
• Models polite, courteous and respectful behavior while interacting with program participants and staff.
• Assists in teaching and practice programs.
• Assists in court setup and court breakdown, including ensuring cleanliness and safety.
• Facilitates and supervises matches including recording and reporting scores and results.
