Movement is seeking a Youth Team Coach in Sunnyvale, CA to deliver practice content for our youth climbing teams and craft transformative experiences. You will collaborate with Team Coach Supervisors and Managers to plan programming that teaches life skills through sport climbing.

This part-time role runs 5-7 hours per week with Tuesday and Thursday evenings (5:00–7:30 pm). Starting pay is $21.30–$22.00 per hour, with gym membership, gear discounts, guest passes, and other benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Passion for working with youth and developing youth climbing athletes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with athletes, parents, coaches, and gym leadership.
• Knowledge and experience in climbing instruction commensurate with the team level coached.

Aufgaben

• Monitor wellbeing and support transformative experiences for athletes while upholding core values and belonging.
• Follow season schedule and deliver daily instruction including Comps, Events, and Training plans.
• Teach leading climbing/belaying and risk management skills after training and approval.
• Supervise youth climbers during bouldering, lead climbing and belaying.
• Assist with administrative duties (rosters, training tracking, practice notes, parent communication).
• Communicate issues promptly with coaching staff and gym leadership; collaborate on mentorship and development.
