Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Minnesota Driver’s License required.
• Ability to work with a diverse client population.
• Non-judgmental regarding lifestyle, race, and economic status.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times.
• Provide supervision in the community, on trips, and during activities.
• Maintain awareness of clients’ whereabouts and needs.
• Support and implement each client’s individual treatment plan.
• Maintain daily program cleanliness standards.
• Report safety hazards and help ensure a safe environment.
• Follow vehicle maintenance and cleanliness standards.
• Encourage clients to maintain organized personal spaces.
• Follow all agency safety policies.
• Foster a positive, structured therapeutic environment.
• Stay informed on each client’s treatment needs and functioning level.
• Participate in daily therapeutic group sessions.
• Build strong rapport with clients.
• Model respect, responsibility, and caring.
• Complete Handle with Care training and safety procedures.
