Job summary

Open Sky Community Services in Worcester, MA is seeking a Youth Support Specialist to help youth up to 22 years and families facing emotional and behavioral challenges. You will support self-management, crisis planning, social skills, daily living skills, stress management, and connect families with community resources.

Responsibilities include identifying strengths, maintaining records, transporting youth safely, and ensuring continuity of service while meeting licensing guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field required.
  • Five years of experience with youth and families preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates preferred.
  • Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals in developing self-management skills including crisis and prevention planning, social skills, daily living skills, and stress management.
  • Maintain files, documentation, and meet licensing guidelines; ensure continuity of service delivery.
  • Transport individuals in a safe manner related to service delivery.
  • Monitor progress toward identified goals and document outcomes.

Job Description:Job DescriptionOpen Sky’s Support & Stabilization Services provide an array of services to support youth up to the age of 22 years and families that may be experiencing emotional and/or behavioral challenges. Services provided include groups, therapeutic services to help children remain in their home, preparation support for children reunifying with family, permanency support, skill building, increasing social connections, and providing families with community resources to meet basic needs.
