Job summary

Community Solutions, Inc. (CSI) is seeking a part-time Youth Support Specialist for the Coventry House program in Coventry, RI.

You will work with residents to develop individualized plans and provide ongoing support, using your communication and problem-solving skills in a collaborative, trauma-informed setting. Responsibilities include supervising youth in a residential setting, maintaining records, and coordinating with staff to ensure successful reintegration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 4 years in social services or criminal justice.
• Bachelor's degree with 1 year in social services or criminal justice preferred; substitutions allowed on a 1:1 basis.
• Experience with youth population preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to youth residents in a residential setting.
• Develop and implement individualized plans with team members.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to residents during their stay.
• Maintain accurate records of resident progress and behavior.

We are seeking a part-time (16 hours per week) Youth Support Specialist for our Coventry House program in Coventry, RI. At Community Solutions, Inc. As a Youth Support Specialist, you will utilize your strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills on a daily basis. You will work closely with other team members to develop and implement individualized plans for each resident and provide ongoing support and guidance throughout their stay. Additionally, you will use your organizational and time-management skills to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident progress and behavior. Your ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations will be essential in this role. Finally, your passion for helping youth succeed will be the driving force behind your work.

What You'll Do:

• Provide direct care and supervision to youth residents in a residential setting
• Develop and implement individualized plans for each resident, in collaboration with other team members
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to residents throughout their stay
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident progress and behavior
• Ensure that all residents receive the necessary support and resources to successfully reintegrate into their communities
• Conduct employment, job search and home confinement spot checks on each shift.
• Conduct common area, room searches and perimeter searches as assigned and document results.
• Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility and document results.
• Complete house counts every hour from Midnight to 8am and every 2 hours from 8am to 10pm and document results.
• Transport Clients as needed in a Company vehicle.
• Conduct monthly emergency drills.
• Secure urines from same sex clients and complete all required paperwork and electronic documentation.
• Supervise all client visitation. Sign all visitors and contractors in and out of the facility.
• Complete intake on all new arrivals prior to the end of your shift. Facilitate client orientation as assigned.
• Facilitate all client movement in and out of the facility.
• Monitor clients self-administration of medication.

Starting Salary: $19.98 per hour

Schedule : Saturday-Sunday 7am-3pm (16 hours)

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

• High School Diploma plus 4 years experience in the social service or criminal justice field.
• Bachelors degree plus one year experience in the social service or criminal justice field preferred. Education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one year for one year basis.
• Experience with Youth Population Preferred.
• Able to arrive 15 minutes before shift for shift change, may also be required to stay later.
• Valid drivers license
