Job summary

Community Solutions is seeking a Per Diem Youth Support Specialist to join our Coventry House location in Coventry, RI. You will supervise clients, uphold agency policies, and support a safe environment while facilitating counseling and advocacy.

The role requires vigilance in incident reporting, recordkeeping, and secure operations, with starting wage of $19.98 per hour, plus shift differentials and per diem scheduling. This is a per diem position with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with related experience in social services or criminal justice.
• Experience in the social service or criminal justice field preferred.
• Ability to arrive early before shifts and stay late if required.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable transportation are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide update on client issues and incidents.
• Verify all physical items passed between shifts.
• Ensure security of facility keys.
• Conduct employment, job search and home confinement spot checks on each shift.
• Conduct common area, room searches and perimeter searches; document results.
• Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility and document results.
• Confiscate contraband found and complete incident report.
• Complete hourly house counts from midnight to 8am and every 2 hours 8am–10pm; document results.
• Transport clients as needed in a company vehicle.
• Conduct monthly emergency drills.
• Secure urines from same-sex clients and complete all paperwork and documentation.
• Supervise all client visitation; sign visitors and contractors in and out.
• Complete intake on all new arrivals; facilitate client orientation.
• Facilitate client movement in and out of the facility.
• Monitor clients' self-administration of medication.

Job Details: Job Location: RI - Coventry House - Coventry, RI 02816, Position Type: Per Diem, Education Level: High School, Salary Range: $19.98 - $19.98 Hourly, Travel Percentage: License Required, Job Shift: Various Shift Hours, Community Solutions is seeking a dedicated Per Diem Youth Support Specialist to join our team at our Coventry House location in Coventry, RI. In this role you will provide client supervision and complete all required program operations. You will uphold all Agency policies and procedures pertaining to the safety and security of clients, Agency property and the community. You will also be a role model to the clients while providing a safe environment, facilitating counseling, advocacy and support.

Starting wage: $19.98 per hour, plus any applicable shift differentials

Schedule: Per Diem; As needed

Position Overview

• Provide update on any client issues and incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree plus one year experience in the social service or criminal justice field preferred.
• High School Diploma plus 4 years experience in the social service or criminal justice field.
• Education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one year for one year basis.
• Able to arrive 15 minutes before shift for shift change, may also be required to stay later.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Valid drivers license
